It’s the last day of September. In some ways, the month has been long. And in other ways, it seems it hasn’t been long enough. What I mean to say is, although this month has dragged, everything I sought out to do in September didn’t get done. How is that possible? Well, I’ve been dragging, too. Lagging, one might say. I recently compared myself to my laptop that needs to be replaced. It still works, but it takes a long time to fulfill a command sometimes. I made progress, but it doesn’t feel like enough to me. And while this isn’t a fun thing to face, it is partly a consequence of me committing to remembrance.
Virgo season wasn’t just a time for me to get a lot of organizing and hard work done. It was a time to shed light on the things that hinder me from being able to efficiently organize and work. A time to take a closer look at the gears, to notice which ones were jammed and why. The places where things get stuck and hold up the line of production. This Virgo season wasn’t about fixing all of the problems, it was about analyzing them to see the best way to go about resolving them. What I didn’t accomplish in problem-solving, I did make up for in analytics and research.
To remember the body and honor it sincerely, I have had to be present with the reality that this body has limits. The cost of this remembrance, this presence is accepting that I have hit my limits. For that reason, this month’s newsletter will reflect that. It won’t be as long. It won’t be as informative. But I will still use this as an opportunity to pose these questions to those of you who read it:
Do you honor your limits? In what ways?
Do you know how to say “No.” to keep from busying yourself unnecessarily?
When you have nothing left to give, do you still try to give?
Are you taking stock of the things that either help or hurt your wellbeing, your process and the rhythm of your life?
Yesterday, a client received an oracle card titled “Limitation is Power!”. Part of the message from the card stuck to me. It said “Limitation is the fertile ground in which the seeds of creativity sprout and grow.” What do you think this quote means? Specifically, what does it mean for you? Are you banging your head against a brick wall in hopes of defying the limitation? Or is it inspiriting you to innovate so that you can preserve your energy for what it is needed for most?
I am not taking readings, at least for the next couple of weeks. Perhaps the entire month of October. I plan to be able to create more content in this time, but I’m also not forcing that either. I have a lot of rest to catch up on.
Check out my website and my Twitter, there’s a lot of content already there.
