Well, it’s been two weeks since my last (free) post on Walking the Path.
And I’m not sorry.
You’ll notice that this month’s affirmations focus on releasing perfectionism, adapting to shifts instead of resisting them, and being accountable without shaming ourselves. I have to practice what I preach and for that reason, I’m not apologizing for the lack of content. But I am holding myself accountable by getting these affirmations to you guys within the first week of the month and taking time to configure a better schedule for when I’m going to release this newsletter now that there has been a cyclical shift in my life (and the seasons - we’re heading into fall).
In the last newsletter I talked about not being a slave to our routines.
Routines That Work
I’ve talked at length about how important it is to allow our structures to shift and change. I’ve stressed how we should not be a prisoner to our routines. Our relationships to our routines have to include flexibility, grace, and curiosity. I was flexible with the Walking the Path routine, allowing myself to upload this post on Sunday instead of Wednesd…
I knew that this Mercury Retrograde we’re in the middle of (Jupiter just went retrograde, so did Uranus and there are other planets retrograding as well…) would be the energy I needed to reassess my routines. So I’m not feeling badly about this transitional, liminal-feeling space I’m in right now.
Part of honoring this time in my life is also about not rushing to put things in place. I have ideas about the changes I want to make for Walking the Path, but I’m not here announcing them just yet...
I’m still in the midst of observing and embodying the newness that is bringing change to my life. When we are revising our routines, it is essential to be present and not stuck in what worked in the past or projecting ourselves into the future that is already decided and running smoothly. We crave that certainty and stability, but in order to create structures that are strong enough to carry us through the next period of our lives, we have to allow ourselves to be flexible for awhile.
How flexible are you right now?
Are you resisting change?
Are you attempting to fast-forward into an already smooth-running future?
I hope that during this month, you implement these affirmations into your routine - however it feels right to you. Take a moment to be present with yourself each week and ask yourself these three questions listed above.
If you enjoy my monthly affirmations, I have personalized guided meditations available where I create affirmations specifically for you & the cycle you’re currently in. Access those by clicking the photo below.

Be easy on yourselves this month - there may be a lot to contend with, just don’t forget to tend to yourself.
Love ya’ll.
Peace💫
